We are so fortunate in Falmouth to live among 120 freshwater kettle ponds. Unfortunately, the health of these ponds is suffering, in large part because of our actions on the land around them. Falmouth Pond Coalition was formed to shine a spotlight on the increasing degradation of these Cape Cod jewels. We do this by working with neighbors to spread the word about what the problems are and what we can all do about them. We also work to engage town government officials in this important effort. We encourage you to learn more and get involved to help preserve these precious resources for future generations.
Why are we doing this? Take a look! We are motivated both by a love for how wonderful our ponds are, and by concern for how they are being degraded. Click photos to scroll images.
